Miss Geico and the Offshore Racing tour are getting some media attention these days. Recently, Owen Blauman got a private tour of the team's shop and sent along this email and photos:
Got a private tour of the Miss Geico aka AMF Offshore Racing and Turbine Marine's Dyno shop. They just finished a test session in Miami in preparation for their first race in 12 days.
They were in the process of going through the turbine motors and vinyl 'n all the running stock. Thought HydroInsider.com readers might like to see what the "other guys" are up too.
According to Throttle man-Team Manager Scott Begovich, "If you line up all our equipment it would strech a mile long."
The team has two competitive boats, display boats, give ride boats (run as the Caveman boats), rescue boats, and several 53+ foot support truck-trailer combos.
In addition to the race team, the group also services many offshore boats including several turbine powered boats.
